Well, While I'm on the Subject of CROSS STITCHING.....

While I'm on the subject of Cross stitching. Here are some of my favorite Cards that I made out of my cross stitch. I added a few other items that were not greeting cards . Tell me which ones you like!

Cross Stitched Bookmarks Stitched Summer 2009

Yon and I went on a two week cruise the end of May and first part of June this summer. Since I had a lot of time on my hands, I cross stitched a lot of bookmarks. Check out the Egyptain One. Isn't she a beauty. Lots of gold and copper threads worked into her pattern. I love stitching Bookmarks and having some on hand to put inside a greeting card for someone's Birthday!

THE NEW RAGE... HANDY HANDBAG POCKET ORGANIZERS

These sure are the rage at the moment. So many of today's purses do not have pockets or NOT enough of them. I've seen them advertized on QVC for as much as $30.
But someone has found the secret for "Vera Bradley" pockets and now you can make your own. I plan to make some for gifts. They are very easy to make and can use scraps of material. I like the two tone ones the best. Outside and inside fabric are contrasting colors and prints. Here are just a few of the fun combinations that I have come up with.

Descriptions: Breast Cancer, Halloween, African Elephants and my favorite " Silly Cats" and Sassy Girlfriends!

CUTE CUPCAKE PINCUSHIONS

I've been making these darling little cupcake pincushions and sure do like them. They make such great gifts for sewers. The best thing about these little beauties is that " they won't topple or roll over while using them". Remember how the old tomatoe pin cushions always roll around when you are trying to use them! These don't and that's the best part besides looking so darn cute!!

The one that I saw had little ''fake candy bits'' around the outside of the fluted cupcake holders. I think they are so cute. They are pastel ''brads'' that I attached to the top edge. I just punched a tiny hole and pulled the brad through.

They look good enough to eat!!
